‘The Jasmine Flower’ is a unique memoir that takes readers on an adventure into Cambodia, the Kingdom of Wonder along with a father, his wife and his youngest daughter as they search for their grandmother who died during the Khmer Rouge in the mid to late 1970’s.
At one point, I even considered having a go at the whole NaNoWriMo process, but I felt like it wasn’t the right time. I had nothing to work with. I had no stories to write. I had no inspiration in my life. I had no publications or written accolades and accomplishments to banter to other people about and most importantly, I wasn’t even living life. So, how was I going to write the great American novel if I had none of these that would validate me as a real “writer”?
